Every product sold on AutoProlift is backed by a manufacturer warranty. Because we carry equipment from several different brands — each with its own warranty terms — this policy explains how warranty coverage works, what’s typically covered, and how to file a claim.
1. Manufacturer Warranties
All warranties on products sold through AutoProlift are provided directly by the manufacturer, not by AutoProlift itself. We act as an authorized dealer, which means:
You receive full manufacturer warranty coverage exactly as if you purchased directly from the brand
Warranty terms, length, and coverage vary by manufacturer and by product line
We assist with facilitating claims on your behalf, but the manufacturer makes the final determination on warranty approval
2. Typical Coverage by Category
While exact terms vary by brand and model (see the specific product page or included documentation for precise terms), general coverage patterns are as follows:
Car Lifts (Atlas, Tuxedo, Katool, iDEAL, AMGO, Launch Tech, Triumph):
Structural components (columns, arms, carriages): typically 1–5 years depending on brand
Hydraulic and electrical components: typically 1 year
ALI-certified lifts often carry extended structural warranties reflecting their certification standard
Compact Tractors and Utility Vehicles (John Deere and others):
Powertrain (engine, transmission): typically 2–3 years or a set number of hours, whichever comes first
General equipment: typically 1–2 years
Mini Excavators and Skid Steer Loaders (TYPHON, AGT):
Engine (Kubota, Briggs & Stratton, or equivalent): coverage varies by engine manufacturer, typically 1–2 years
Hydraulic system and structural components: typically 1 year
Zero-Turn Mowers and Lawn Tractors (Cub Cadet, John Deere):
Deck and frame: typically 3–5 years for residential use
Engine: covered separately by the engine manufacturer (Kawasaki, Kohler, etc.), typically 2–3 years
Commercial-use mowers often carry shorter warranty periods than residential-use terms
Exact warranty length, what’s included, and any usage restrictions (residential vs. commercial) are specified in the documentation included with your equipment and on the manufacturer’s website. When in doubt, contact us and we’ll confirm the exact terms for your specific model.
3. What Is Typically Covered
Manufacturer warranties generally cover:
Defects in materials or workmanship under normal use
Premature failure of structural or mechanical components not caused by misuse
Parts and, in many cases, labor for warranty-approved repairs, depending on the manufacturer
4. What Is Typically Not Covered
Across virtually all manufacturers, the following are excluded from warranty coverage:
Normal wear and tear (hoses, seals, filters, belts, tires)
Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, or failure to follow the included operating and safety manual
Equipment used beyond its rated capacity (e.g., lifting a vehicle heavier than the lift’s rated weight)
Damage from lack of routine maintenance (fluid changes, lubrication, filter replacement)
Cosmetic issues that don’t affect function (paint scratches, surface rust from outdoor storage)
Modifications or repairs performed by unauthorized third parties
Commercial use of equipment rated for residential use only, unless the model is explicitly rated for commercial service
5. Registration Requirements
Some manufacturers require product registration within a set period after purchase (commonly 30 days) to activate full warranty coverage. We recommend registering your equipment as soon as it arrives — registration instructions are included with your product or available from the manufacturer directly. Keep your AutoProlift order confirmation as proof of purchase date, since this is typically required for any warranty claim.
6. How to File a Warranty Claim
If you believe your product has a covered defect:
Contact our support team at support@autoprolift.com or +1 (914) 769-8050 with your order number, product model, and a description of the issue
Provide photos or video of the defect when possible — this speeds up manufacturer review significantly
We will submit the claim to the manufacturer on your behalf and communicate their decision as soon as we receive it
Approved claims are resolved by manufacturer-authorized repair, replacement parts, or a full unit replacement, depending on the nature of the defect and the manufacturer’s process
7. Claim Processing Time
Warranty claims are reviewed by the manufacturer, so processing time depends on their internal procedures — typically 5–15 business days for a decision, plus additional time for parts shipment or replacement unit dispatch. We follow up on your behalf and keep you updated throughout the process.
8. Extended Warranties
Some products may offer optional extended warranty coverage at checkout. If purchased, extended warranty terms, coverage, and claim procedures will be provided in a separate document at the time of purchase.
9. Out-of-Warranty Support
Even after your warranty period ends, our support team can help you source replacement parts or point you toward authorized service providers for your equipment. Reach out anytime — we’re glad to help keep your equipment running.
